What Is A Concept?
a thought about conceptualizing
A concept is an idea formed in the mind
about something that may or may not be represented with words or images.
A concept is something abstract
to which the voice of reason ascribes meaning.
And it is without shape, attributes, nor smell
therefore can not be real,
since the real is that in direct sensitive experience.
A concept is something like thoughts.
This is what I’m doing now,
taking a word and then assigning characteristics
in order to make sense
to what is being described.
But as we can not see,
to take a concept is the action of withdrawing characteristics
going inside the plane of ideas,
bringing forwards what was rescued.
As an ideal, a concept is the interaction
between the high goal of perfection and
the limits of the material world.
In nature it’s intangible,
a concept can be illusory and seductive,
or it can be inspiring
like a distant goal.
Conceptualizing is the action of giving
— meaning, creating, building —
beliefs and thoughts, ideas and intelligence.
