Tough To Be A Bug

Poem 10

As we solve them for a living
Kill them with poison and shoes
it’s indeed tough to be a bug.

Harder yet to exercise empathy
as a muscle that should be trained
Imagining myself as a cockroach
I wonder what should be easier

an innocent fly —
dazzled by the light
trapped inside the room
pretending to get
warmth from the bulb.

Or a proper human being
in a big city
living as ants for the colony
with their insignificant duties
Pretending to sacrifice time
for a greater paycheck
at the end of the month.

Oh how noble is both lives.

about legacy and purpose
Living for a greater good…
Just as a bug that lives a couple days
reproduces, lay their eggs and gets eaten.

How insignificant is the common sense
of people trying to push a ponzi scheme.
How insignificant is life without meaning.
how insignificant is working a job you hate.
