Serpentine

Poem 07

It reminds me of carnival in Rio
nothing to do with snakes or serpents
of any kind.
IDGAF — but rather.
It’s a child’s play.

We would throw it on people
the crowd only saw a flying spiral
in the air, like a ball.
With the string attached to my hands

I was holding it
and I keep holding it
as much as I want to release.

And just by saying fuck it.
I will go with suffer. I won’t give up.
As I keep holding the serpentine
it falls down to the ground.

After letting you go.
I will keep holding on
the nostalgia of carnival
And I keep suffering.

Thank You For Reading ❤
