Most Truths Are Paradoxical
Analects
Do not do anything worthless that harms what is valuable;
thus your work will be done.
Do not value strange things, neglecting useful things;
thus the people will be satisfied.
Do not keep dogs and horses unfit for weather.
Do not feed precious birds and rare field animals.
Do not appreciate distant things;
So people will come by loge.
Be the objects of your esteem only the worthy;
that way the people in the neighborhood will have peace.
Be a morning person and never be late because of laziness.
Do not neglect the insignificant actions,
because in the end this influences the great force of existence,
such as a nine-arm-high mountain
that still lacks the last basket of earth.
