How To Build A “Developing Life”.
When we talk about developing life, we can distinguish four aspects of it.
The first aspect is to prevent things that are dangerous to life from arising.
The second is to get rid of and destroy any dangerous things that already have arisen in life.
The third is to produce things which are useful and beneficial for life.
The fourth is to maintain and preserve those things so that they grow further.
Altogether we have these four aspects of developing life: Preventing new dangers, getting rid of old dangers, creating desirable things, and maintaining and increasing these things.
Progress in the exploration of the outer space and nuclear developments have only been possible through the understanding of the secrets on these topics.
The same is true for life. In order to reach the highest possible development of life we must know life’s secrets.
A Developing Life is Our Duty.
In order to fulfill our duty we use tools.
There are some very important tools that I learned when studying about Vipassanā, a budhist tradition that means insight into the true nature of reality.
The first tool-set is about our internal actions. The second set of tools is about relating us and the society we live in, our work our relationships and our self-expression.
These combined gives you profound insights on how to encompass all that you experience with the nature itself.
Tool-Set Number 01:
Having these four tools will enable us to develop life further.
- Mindfulness,
- Wisdom-in-action,
- Knowledge,
- Concentration.
The practice of mind-development aims at cultivating and training the mind so that these tools are enriched enough to develop our lives and grow.
In order to do that, we breath in and out. Simple as that.
But instead of focusing only on egocentric thoughts, we focus on what is the most important things in our life, which are able to provide a foundation for creative imaging and manifestation.
Important Things To Focus In Life:
Kaya (the body),
Vedana (the feelings),
Citta (the mind),
Dhamma(the truth).
We need to accept ourselves for what we are in the current moment. Realizing that the self-love is stronger than any other force. We are always going to be guided to make larger further steps into progress and freedom.
When I eat, my focus is no longer on watching some random thing in the computer.
I shifted the focus to look inside. Paying attention on chewing (the body), my sensations relating the flavors (the feelings), what I am thinking in the moment (the mind) and how is the food I’m eating helping me to become better (the truth).
I have learned more about about myself after starting being mindful in my breath, and this mindfulness impacts every other area of my life.
Tool-Set Number 02:
Not only what we eat matters when being whole and complete is the goal.
A healthy being is one that fulfilled by primary foods for the soul.
To cultivate a healthy lifestyle is not about eating kale and rice everyday and going to the gym every morning.
When you are nourished and happy in the ways that truly matter, food becomes secondary.
The 7 Primary Foods For The Soul:
- 1. Regular physical movement,
- 2. Meaningful positive relationships,
- 3. Fulfilling work,
- 4. Spiritual Connection (whatever that means to you),
- 5. Following personal passions,
- 6. Non-dietary forms of self-care
- 7. Playfulness, creativity, and fun.
The power of a developing mind is that it is no longer separated.
We become one with our essence, we become one with who we are.
We humans are constantly imagining, locked in the past, wondering about what we could do to make the present different.
A new era of our lives starts when we shift the focus from problems to experience the being. If you want to learn how to make this change, observe a child.
A child does not plan, does not calculate, nor over-think.
A child just is.
It acts with pure life.
This is the secret of nature which must be understood in order to develop life to the experience benefit.
Developing life to the highest level means reaching a stage that is free from all problems and illusions.
